Leadership & Staff
Tracy became CEO in 2013 after working in a variety of settings to include acute care, post-acute care and physician practice management. He has more than 22 years of experience in healthcare administration and is a Fellow in the American College of Healthcare Executives. Tracy received his undergraduate degree from James Madison University and a Master of Science degree in health care administration from the University of Maryland University College. Tracy, his wife Amy and two daughters live in Chesterfield County.
Carlton Miller, M.D.
Dr. Miller is a fellow of the American College of Rheumatology, specializing in the treatment of rheumatology, musculoskeletal and connective tissue diseases and osteoporosis. He has more than 25 years of clinical and medical management experience. Dr. Miller also is a diplomate of the American Board of Internal Medicine, Rheumatology. He completed his fellowship training in rheumatology at the University of Virginia and serves as the assistant clinical professor of medicine, UVA Division of Rheumatology as well as the associate clinical professor of medicine, Virginia Commonwealth University School of Medicine Division of Rheumatology. Dr. Miller received his medical degree at Eastern Virginia Medical School. He is a board member of the Arthritis Foundation of Virginia, Virginia Society of Rheumatology and the Lupus Foundation of Virginia.
Carlton Miller, M.D. is an independent private practice physician whose office is located at the hospital.
Lisa Stewart Barker, SPHR
Director of Human Resources
Lisa came to HealthSouth with more than 25 years of experience in financial office administration, focusing on human resources administration over the last 20 years. Bringing extensive experience in recruiting, employee relations, benefits, training and development, Lisa was promoted in March 2007 to the position of director of human resources, after serving in the accounting department since the hospital opened in June 2006. She is nationally certified as a Senior Professional in Human Resources and is a member of both the national and state Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM.) A lifelong area resident, Lisa is active in the community, her church, and also serves as a World Vision Child Ambassador.
Plant Operations Director
Lonnie became director of plant operations in 2013 after working in a variety of settings, including acute care and behavioral care settings. He has more than 15 years of experience in operations management and is an active member of the National Fire Protection Association and formerly a New York State fire safety director. Lonnie received his bachelor’s degree in fine arts (theatre) from Pennsylvania State University. Lonnie has two daughters, one a member of the United States Marine Corps, living in Chesterfield County, where he also resides.
Ann joined HealthSouth in May 2007 as the assistant controller at HealthSouth Rehabilitation Hospital of Virginia in Richmond and was promoted to controller at Petersburg in 2008. She came to HealthSouth with more than 20 years of accounting and finance experience, including healthcare, service and public accounting. She holds a bachelor’s degree in accounting from Miami University. Ann is married, has two children and resides in Midlothian.
Director of Quality
Grace has been the director of quality of HealthSouth Petersburg since 2011. She uses her significant analytical, management, finance and statistical skills to support the hospitals operations in various ways including FTE Management, automation, development and market penetration of admissions functions, quality, data mining and information functions. Grace began her education in hospital administration and decision sciences at Virginia Commonwealth University. She subsequently became the admissions supervisor and then worked as the controller at HealthSouth Rehabilitation Hospital of Northern Virginia in Aldie, Virginia. Grace started her career in investment banking and financial advisory services and has worked in the Caribbean and Latin America.
Rachel B. Provau RN, MSNA
Chief Nursing Officer
Rachel joined HealthSouth as CNO in 2013 and has an extensive background in multiple settings including academic and community critical and acute care. She has more than 20 years as a nurse leader and is active in American Organization of Nurse Executives as well as National Patient Safety Foundation. Rachel received her BSN degree from Jacksonville University and her master's degree in nursing from Virginia Commonwealth University.
Patrick Sears, R.Ph
Director of Pharmacy
Patrick joined HealthSouth in 2014, bringing almost 20 years of pharmacy experience in both the community and hospital acute care settings. Originally from the Seattle area, he earned his pharmacy degree from the University of Washington School of Pharmacy in 1995, and is now working on his master's degree in business administration through the University Of Massachusetts at Amherst. He is also an adjunct professor/preceptor with the VCU School of Pharmacy, and a member of the American College of Healthcare Executives. He currently resides in Midlothian, VA with wife, Heidi and two sons.
Nutrition Service Manager
Nello has worked in the food and beverage industry for over 20 years with experience in settings ranging from restaurants and clubs to catering and arenas. Through food and hospitality, it is Nello’s goal to create an experience for patients to relax and re-energize on the way to recovery. His philosophy is simple: everyone who passes through our doors is his guest and he will do whatever he can to take care of you.
Director of Marketing
Sandy brings an array of healthcare marketing experience to the director of marketing position. As a Richmond native, she comes to HealthSouth Petersburg with more than 25 years of experience in healthcare marketing. Sandy’s healthcare career began in a small rural hospital in Southwest Virginia as the director of marketing where she remained for 14 years. In 2002, realizing her desire to return to Richmond, she took on the role of marketing manager for a large hospital-based home care agency and remained in home care until she came to HealthSouth. Sandy is passionate about what she does and firmly believes in HealthSouth being an integral part of the Petersburg community.
